GeeksGate respects your privacy. Below you can read which personal data we process, why, and which rights you have. Questions? Email info@geeks-gate.com.
Data we process
- Orders: name, address, email, phone number, ordered products and payment status.
- Account: login details and order history if you create an account.
- Back-in-stock alerts: if you use “Notify me” on a sold-out product, your email address, the chosen product and your language. The IP address is stored only as a non-reversible hash to prevent abuse.
- Technical data needed to operate and secure the website.
What we use it for
- Fulfilling your order: payment, delivery and customer service (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- Meeting legal obligations, such as tax records (legal obligation).
- Sending you one message when a sold-out product is available again (legal basis: your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in that message.
- Protecting the website against abuse (legitimate interest).
Who we share data with
Only with parties needed for your order: Mollie (payments), carriers and our suppliers (delivery) and our hosting providers. Where required, data processing agreements are in place with these parties. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Order data: 7 years (tax retention obligation).
- Back-in-stock alerts: at most 365 days, or sooner if you unsubscribe or have been notified.
Cookies
We only use functional cookies needed for the cart, checkout and login. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Email info@geeks-gate.com; we respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
